CEBA Welcomes Ian Harrison as Senior Vice President of Government Affairs

The Clean Energy Buyers Association (CEBA) is pleased to announce Ian Harrison has joined CEBA as senior vice president of government affairs. Ian brings decades of experience in policy advocacy and business to lead CEBA’s relationships with federal and state legislators, governors, and policymakers in the executive branch.

Ian will advocate for low-cost, reliable, secure and carbon-free energy to grow the economy, create jobs, and advance American energy independence.

“We are thrilled Ian is our new senior vice president of government affairs,” said CEBA CEO Rich Powell. “His long track record of successfully forging bipartisan relationships and advocacy to advance carbon-free energy will help CEBA and our members secure policies that help ensure low-cost, reliable, carbon-emissions free global electricity systems.”

“CEBA and its members are successfully using their demand-side leverage to transform global energy systems with carbon-free electricity. I am looking forward to building a strong and focused government affairs capability to advance policy that achieves that transformation on behalf of CEBA’s membership,” Harrison said.

Ian was the president and founder of Bipartisan Climate Action, supporting candidates of either party willing to pass significant and enduring legislation to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Ian chaired the conservative caucus for Citizens Climate Lobby and currently serves on the board of the Conservative Climate Foundation and the executive board of the Sustainable Environment and Energy Coalition Institute.

Ian is an engineer and entrepreneur, and prior to working in politics and advocacy, Ian founded and exited several companies and served as a partner at Deloitte, running the European Financial Applications practice delivering financial control systems for global merchant banks.
