Clean Energy Buyers Association Appoints Nidhi Thakar as Senior Vice President of Policy

The Clean Energy Buyers Association (CEBA), representing more than 400 companies and organizations across the United States with more than $15 trillion in market capital, proudly welcomes Nidhi Thakar as its new senior vice president of policy. With over 20 years of experience across the public and private sectors, Nidhi brings a wealth of knowledge and proven leadership in the energy sector to CEBA.

Nidhi’s leadership in this space is essential to ensuring collaboration within the public and private sector in pursuit of the clean energy transition.” 

Nidhi brings a unique and distinctive background to CEBA. Most recently, she was vice president for policy and regulatory at Form Energy, where she built and led the company’s global policy, government affairs, and regulatory team. Nidhi previously served as a senior director for Portland General Electric, where she led cross-functional efforts to advance rapid decarbonization and electrification, resiliency and reliability, business model innovation, and customer solutions.

Nidhi also served as chief of strategy and external affairs to the president of the California Public Utilities Commission as well as in the Obama administration as senior advisor to the U.S. Department of Energy’s Loan Programs Office. Additionally, she sits on the boards of Clean Energy for America, Greentown Labs, Overture Investments, and Gridworks. 

As senior vice president of policy, Nidhi will be responsible for leading CEBA’s policy team and agenda to drive clean energy investment, development, and procurement in the U.S. and priority markets around the world.
