CEBA Deal Tracker
The CEBA Deal Tracker showcases the energy customers that drive progress through the procurement of carbon-free energy, accelerating customer-driven clean energy for all. Since 2015, the community of energy customers, energy providers, service providers, the NGO/industry trade community, and the energy market as a whole have looked to CEBA for the semi-annual Deal Tracker for market growth and key actors leading procurement. The CEBA Deal Tracker depicts historic carbon-free energy (CFE) market trends, as well as annual number and volume of deals announced. CEBA members can access the full CEBA Deal Tracker on CEBA InterConnect.
Energy customers in the commercial and industrial sectors have contracted for more than 57.5 GW of carbon-free energy since 2014, equivalent to 37% of new carbon-free energy capacity in that time, making progress toward CEBA’s aspiration of a 90% carbon-free U.S. electricity system by 2030.
The CEBA Deal Tracker represents publicly announced contracted capacity of corporate power purchase agreements (PPAs), green power purchases, green tariffs, tax equity investments, and outright project ownership in the U.S. from 2016-2022 YTD. The Deal Tracker only includes deals that are:
- Publicly announced and/or are accessible through the public domain and regulatory filings
- Approved by the PUC if a utility deal
- Offsite projects, & on-site projects >=20 MW
- New generation or a qualified repowering project
- Located in the United States
