Joshua Kaplan

Josh Kaplan is a Senior Manager on CEBA’s Transaction Acceleration Group team in their DC office, where he focuses on creating opportunities, in partnership with the CEBA community, for members to obtain the tools and resources needed to effectively engage with today’s clean energy market.

Josh joins CEBA from WWF, where he worked with large energy buyers to find innovative solutions to scaling renewable energy programs. Through managing initiatives such as the Renewable Energy Buyers’ Principles, he has had the opportunity to contribute to CEBA’s growth and be inspired by its community since 2016. Prior to this, he worked with the US Department of Energy to help produce several reports on the agency’s sustainability commitments. He began his career at American University’s Office of Sustainability, where he designed community-focused behavior change programs to help achieve ambitious goals including carbon neutrality.

Josh holds a BA in environmental studies and MS in sustainability management, both from American University. He’s a native of the small but mighty state of Connecticut. In his spare time you can find him exploring the incredible natural areas of the mid-Atlantic region, reading classic science fiction, and cheering on the Washington Nationals.
