CEBA Supports Congressional Efforts to Expand Organized Wholesale Markets
CEBA and key stakeholders support Congressional efforts that would bolster states across the U.S. in their efforts to join, expand, and improve competitive, organized wholesale markets. These markets provide an effective pathway to reaching state decarbonization goals in a way that supports grid reliability, enhances energy efficiency, increases customer savings, and drives zero-carbon energy technologies.
CEBA applauds Congressional efforts to include provisions of the Build Back Better Act that fund key elements needed to support organized wholesale market expansion. This funding includes increasing electricity transmission and the Department of Energy’s technical assistance grants, which would provide a pathway for states to participate in organized wholesale markets.
This sign-on letter follows previous call to actions to support organized wholesale markets from REBA and Senate Leaders from Colorado and Nevada.
